Birthday Blessings Reprise: Malawi Food Container Arrived!

Some of you may remember the post from last November called, “Birthday Blessings”  It told the story of my remarkable friends, Dave and Laurie Bunnel, who decided to celebrate their 50th birthdays with a food packaging event for Children of the Nations.

This past week, Laurie shared some pictures of the container being unpacked by some enthusiastic and sometimes silly Malawi young people!

This coming week, on December 5, 2014, they are providing people with yet another opportunity to change the world. This time, hygiene “Smile Packs” are being packaged for Sierra Leone, Africa, which is being ravaged by the ebola virus.

See the flier below for more information! If you can’t be there yourself (and unfortunately, I can’t do it this time), please consider making a donation to this wonderful organization. What a great way to help your kids see that the news they hear on TV may not always be great, but there IS a way that even the youngest can help make a difference.

You rock, Laurie and Dave!
