Wednesday’s Word to the Wise: Make No Mistake about It

“By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations, by his knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew.”
–Proverbs 3:19-20

If God, in his ultimate wisdom, created the earth and all in it (including us), what does that mean for us when we feel inadequate, lacking in some way? I find comfort in knowing that God created me on purpose–that “God made us as we are, in order to use us as He planned” (a saying from a daily calendar, Bless your Heart).

Thank you. I needed this today. In all my imperfectness and defects I must remember that God can work through these and help others. I’m right where I’m supposed to be.

The chances of you being you or me being me are mind boggling! It’s amazing that our parents met and their parents met and so on. God is completely aware of our genealogy. Think of the near death experiences our ancestors must have survived prior to conceiving the next generation …shoot, before sterilization was discovered just as many people died as a result of their doctor’s intervention as were cured. Then there were the dinosaurs: Forget getting hit by a car, falling down a well or being kicked by a mule …back in the day a dinosaur was a major safety concern.

Each of us are walking, talking miracles. Spirits sent by God having human experiences. He knows each of us …and loves us so much. Yep. He’s sovereign and the ultimate source of wisdom. Thanks for the reminder, Sonja!
